Buddy was Richard’s dog. He frequently was to be found in the office demolishing giant carrots. He also had a tendency to take off during busy lunch hours, whereby a busboy would be dispatched to try to find him at a neighbourhood park. However, Buddy had figured out how to get to take the ferry across to Richard’s house on Ward’s Island which was his favourite hangout. We would often get a call from the Island Pound: “Hello, we have Buddy here…”
